Privacy

This website collects almost nothing. If you give us your email address we’ll use it to tell you when we ship an app, and for nothing else. If you agree to analytics, HubSpot sets a cookie so we can see which pages people read. That’s the lot.

We will never sell your personal information — not to a data broker, not aggregated, not as part of anything else. There are no advertising trackers on this site.

Your email address, if you give it to us

Only when you submit the notify form. We use it to send one email when we launch a new app. We don’t send anything else, we don’t share the list, and every email has an unsubscribe link.

Analytics, only if you agree

We use HubSpot to understand which pages people read. It sets cookies that record pages viewed, roughly where in the world you are, and whether you’ve visited before. HubSpot shows its own cookie notice and honours the choice you make there — declining changes nothing about how the site works.

Ordinary server logs

Our host records requests — IP address, browser, page, timestamp — as part of running and securing the site. This is standard and we don’t use it to build profiles of people.

We keep this list short on purpose, and everyone on it processes data on our behalf rather than for their own purposes:

• Vercel — hosting and server logs
• HubSpot — analytics and, if you subscribe, the email list

Both store data outside Canada, including in the United States, which means it may be subject to the laws of those countries.

Email addresses until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete yours. Analytics data according to HubSpot’s retention settings. Server logs for a short period as part of normal operations.

Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA), and under the GDPR if you’re in the UK or EU, you can ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, ask for it to be deleted, and withdraw consent at any time.

Email hello@buildwithblubird.com and we’ll do it. There’s no form and no process — a company of three people can just handle it.

This site isn’t aimed at children and we don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

This policy covers this website only. Crabby, and any app we release later, handles data differently and has its own privacy policy — you’ll find it with the app.

If we change this, we’ll update the date at the top. If a change actually matters — new data, new purpose, a new company touching it — we’ll say so plainly rather than quietly revising the page.
